Don't be afraid of carbs. Please don't pay attention to all of the "carb killing" that is going on in the media and with all of these fad diets right now. Your body needs carbs. Period. Sure you can cut them back a little bit, but don't demonize them. As long as you are active you will be fine. Are you working out at all to supplement your change in diet? If you don't have a gym membership then go out to your local High School track and run a couple of miles a day. You'll shed it in no time. And also remember to drink plenty of water, and stay away from anything with added sugar. You'll be suprised at how much weight you lose when you are properly hydrated.
