Don't even go there, it's not the solution. I'm a big guy (370lbs) and I tried a lot of those stuff and guest what? You lose and get back again.
If you are overweight you have to correct the problem which is bad eating habits and lack of exercise.
Don't full yourself, if you don't have any clue about what kind of foods you should eat go to a nutritionist and get a plan.
It will be slower but once you achieve your goal you can keep in shape forever.
